Democracy for Artifacts? When the Philosophy of Technology Meets Climate Crisis

演講內容摘要：

以荷蘭技術哲學為核心，本演講將從「綠色行為嚮導技術」切入，討論當技術物設計來促進人們的環境行為時，可能遭遇的倫理與政治問題，並說明這些問題如何反映當前倫理觀點與政治理論的不足，最後進一步提議與論證另一種民主模型，以便正視與容納技術物之「力」。

Through the lens of Dutch philosophy of technology, this presentation will explore the ethical and political issues that may arise when designing and implementing "green behavior-steering technology" to promote pro-environmental behavior. It will also discuss how these issues reflect the shortcomings of current ethical perspectives and political theories. Finally, it will argue for and propose an alternative democratic model to address and accommodate the power of artifacts.
