SUMMARY OF THE LECTURE
The talk discusses the two movies Seediq Bale (2011, directed by Te-Sheng Wei) and Kano (2014, directed by Umin Boya [also known as Ma Chih-hsiang] and produced by Te-Sheng Wei), which talks about the story of the Kano baseball team, in order to explain the theoretical implications of the virtual in Taiwan’s situation.
The two movies depict how the Taiwanese people, heavily bearing the heavy destiny, crystalize a series of different narrations through the virtual and actual power.
