When existing theories and conceptions (especially those from the Western mainstream thoughts) fail to elaborate the phenomena observed by the researchers, one of the most common approaches taken by indigenous psychology is to take on a subjective perspective. However, this lecture aims to further distinguish two ways of theory-making: reflexive subjective methodology and reflexive objective methodology. Furthermore, this lecture also attempts to promote a multi-dimensional paradigm in indigenous psychology through global perspectives.
