Rethinking the Psychoanalytical Approach in Adorno's Critique of Astrology Columns

演講內容摘要：

占星與媒體的結合盛行於當代社會。在批判理論傳統中，阿多諾的《繁星降世 》乃是唯一一部探究此現象作品，迄今卻鮮少被重視。此次演講將重新審視阿多諾占星專欄批判，並探討其所採取的精神分析預設在批判方法上造成的困難。
 
In the tradition of critical theory, Adorno's The Stars Down to Earth stands out as the only work that explicitly addresses the phenomenon of astrology columns in mass media as a social pathology, yet it has been largely overlooked to date. In this talk, I will reexamine Adorno's critique of astrology column and the methodological challenges involved in his psychoanalytically-based critical approach.
