As the education at Taiwanese universities increasingly emphasizes the cultivation of talents needed by industries, the humanities are facing the crisis of being marginalized or abandoned under the label of "uselessness." However, does viewing university education as "vocational education" overlook the true function of universities themselves? In the face of such a crisis, how should we reconsider the significance of university education, the function of the humanities, and the usefulness of philosophy?
