This talk is primarily aimed at sharing my thoughts about the role that philosophical thinking may play in historical research. I often view my own research as approaching philosophical inquiries using historical methodologies. I will specifically discuss what this process consists of and to which extent such research remains meaningful, even when questions do not receive definitive answers.
