本次研討會旨在探討:動物研究如何能真正納入動物自身的視角。我們邀請人文學、社會科學與自然科學領域之研究者,以及關注動物議題之實務工作者,共同思考非人動物之經驗、主體性與能動性,並回應其所涉及之方法論、認識論與倫理挑戰。
徵稿主題(包含但不限於):
- 動物視角與主體性
- 多物種關係與共存
- 動物倫理、美學與再現
- 野生動物保育與家養動物處境
- 氣候變遷與生態議題
- 跨物種研究方法(如生物符號學、動物民族誌等)
- 宗教、文化與動物性
- 動物研究中的交織性分析(性別、認同、民族等)

Multi-species Asia: Toward Animal Perspectives
National Sun Yat-sen University (Taiwan)
October 1–3, 2026
This conference asks how animal studies might genuinely take animal perspectives into account. We invite contributions from the humanities, social sciences, natural sciences, as well as practitioners engaged in animal-related work, to explore the methodological, epistemological, and ethical challenges of engaging with non-human animals as subjects with their own experiences and agency.
Topics include (but are not limited to):
- Animal perspectives and subjectivity
- Multispecies relations and coexistence
- Animal ethics, aesthetics, and representation
- Wildlife conservation and conditions of domesticated animals
- Climate change and ecological issues
- Cross-species methodologies (e.g., biosemiotics, ethno-ethology)
- Religion, culture, and animality
- Intersectional approaches in animal studies
Key Dates:
- Proposal deadline: June 15, 2026
- Notification of acceptance: June 30, 2026
- Full paper submission: September 1, 2026
Conference Information:
- Languages: English or Mandarin
- Support: Transportation (within Taiwan), accommodation, and lunch will be provided
